Mtf, central Texas, few months on HRT, living “double life” for 2+ yrs. I really want to start completely living as myself, but I’m afraid for safety and general mistreatment at my Baptist university. Out to all friends, but not to family. Any advice?

If you don’t mind me asking, are you a fellow Baylor Bear by any chance? I’ve been at that particular Baptist university for six years now and might have some advice.

it sucks but i'd say leave texas before you live fully as yourself. texas is one of the scariest states to be in rn for us

of the safe states, i think the cheapest would be virginia, michigan, or oregon, of course outside the big cities.

i'd be wary of georgia. cal and az are actually safe, ga is only safe by southern standards.
