At what point do I give up? The 20th will be a year in e for me and I feel like I’ve made no progress. I don’t have a chance in hell of passing, my friends constantly misgender me. Dysphoria is eating me alive

first year has noticeable changes, but tbh i noticed the most my changes from 1.5-3 years. you’re still at the beginning if you continue. also not saying they’re necessary, but surgeries and electrolysis/laser can do a lotta heavy lifting

I’m only a few months ahead of you, but it gets better. What’s holding you back worst right now?

I know facial hair has been a huge barrier for me

I think the biggest thing for me is my voice, I’ve tried training but having to pay that much attention to it is really uncomfortable. And I feel like fat redistribution is nonexistent

The last few weeks have been especially bad tho. At this point I don’t know if it’s worth the effort

Well, on the bright side voice is an easier solve than most other things. That can be worked on. I have friends who have been on hrt for multiple years and still haven’t voice trained. In terms of fat redistribution, are your levels close to cis woman range? And once they are, you should expect to not notice the major changes for another 6 months to a year and a half, with more changes coming over the next 7 years. You’re jumping the gun thinking it’s over at 1 year. You’re still just starting❤️

About your friends…. They may just never understand. You may unfortunately need to find a new group

You’d think an all queer friend group would be better at it :/
