You should wait at least 6 months to start prog after you start estrogen cause otherwise it can mess with your breast growth. I waited about a year before I started prog

does anyone have experience with taking it rectally vs orally and if it feels like one way makes it work more?

That one’s just a myth imo. The general advice is to take it as prescribed, so probably orally. I don’t think there’s any studies on it, but pills made to be absorbed orally or rectally probably have some differences in design
