I hate it when people act like transitioning is a competition. I didn’t even know how uncomfortable it was until I made new trans friends who don’t project their insecurities onto everyone else and it made me realize how weird some of my old friends were

whenever i meet a trans person that makes dysphoria or transitioning a competition i immediately refuse to be close friends with them. recognizing differences in the pace of your transitions is one thing, but being competitive about it or bragging is different. (ex: my voice dropped faster than someone else's, thats hard to miss and i didn't bring it up)

omg I've had a trans guy try to control my TRANSITION because he felt jealous i had smaller boobs than him and could theoretically pass better because of that. i ended up having to file a title ix against him because it got SO BAD

being trans isn't always about passing the best, and i can't stand people who project their insecurities on to others. those people never stop at gender either, they tend to make the rest of your life a living hell if you let them
