FTM here! I’m feeling a little self conscious bc I’m 4’11 and weigh 120. My partner is a foot taller and weighs the same. I don’t think I look “overweight,” but I’m definitely a bit insecure with it. Are there any tips to help with that? (More in comments

sorry if this comes off as rude but I’m worried about your partner’s health if they’re 120 and near 6’

dude 120 is a healthy weight for 4'11 and is absolutely underweight for 5'11

I can’t do the gym due to physical/medical limitations and on a budget with food, so I’m trying to research a little

Going to reply to both: Partner is perfectly healthy/much healthier than I atm. My BMI is considered close to overweight so that’s what started it

I lowkey think I’m just feeling dysphoric because I used to be super underweight

BMI is a fucked metric that's basically only designed for cis white men with an average amount of muscle. it's literally just height and weight and since you're a trans guy you're going to be gaining muscle which makes you more dense. BMI is an outdated, shitty metric

Thank you both! I wish doctor’s offices wouldn’t put them on every chart. 🫠

I totally get it, I was like that too, I've gained like... 20 pounds on E but I was too skinny and my relationship with food was not healthy (I'm still working on that) but my point is, you're basically going through puberty again, it's normal to gain weight

Yeahhh, I lowkey went from 87 to 120 in two and a half years (on T gel for 15 months now,) so the difference and pace is insane.
