especially when you start out, thrift EVERYTHING you never know how much your style or body will change and there is no point paying full price for clothing in this economy

100%. also not that i ever learned how to formally, but learning how to do basic sewing is a great way to mend thrift clothes and your old stuff. if you want to get real fancy you could learn how to make adjustments to the fit of clothes. also also as an aside, goodwill is getting reaaaaaal pricey in my area. i stick to local places if i can.
