can someone explain how you tell when someone’s malgendering? agender so I’ve never had this happen to me

I’ve seen it with misogynist stereotypes but much less often than malgendered trans men for obvious reasons.. also is that malgendering? it seems more like transmisogyny, but maybe I’m confused

my understand of malgendering is that it’s affirmative gendering as a put down, saying “you’re a woman. you don’t get to have that privilege now” is affirmatively gendering trans women and putting them down, it’s also blatantly transmisogynistic to complain about trans women specifically being upset about sexism. imo it’s both malgendering + transmisogyny.

Every time a see a screenshot from that group I’m reminded why I left 😭 That’s such a gross post, and it’s crazy that it has upvotes. I’m so glad we have good mods here
