for my trans men/mascs that use localized estrogen cream down there: if you have sensory issues with the cream, PLEASE ask your provider about estradiol tablets like yuvafem! you literally cannot feel it and it’s been game changing for penetration + UTIs

Would you say the tablets work any better or worse for you?

What if penetration is a no go? My partner has recently started T (almost 3 months!!) and they’re a stone top

atrophy doesnt just affect penetration, its actually really uncomfortable/painful in general if it gets severe enough so its just something to keep an eye out for those of us who havent or just dont plan to get bottom surgery

^^ this!! personally atrophy didn’t start bothering me til about 8 months. it’s something providers expect and know to ask about and cream is often suggested — i just didn’t know about the tablet option! approaching 2 years on T

in addition to impacting my sex life (bottom w cis male s/o) atrophy was also causing general discomfort and i was having chronic UTIs. i had a new provider this last time who is new to our planned parenthood that switched me to yuvafem after i explained why i didn’t use the cream consistently (and gave me UTI antibiotics lmfao)

congrats on almost 2 years! also just saw this and wanted to mention timelines for atrophy can vary a lot, i still havent experienced any symptoms of it and im about 2.5 years on t (ik some people worry a lot about how quickly or just when some things occur so i figured id put this out too)
