y’all i’m so tired of seeing people talk about being attracted to trans men but not cis men… it’s literally so invalidating and it’s crazy how many people try and justify it.

esp when they’re like “only trans men are attractive,” girl many trans men are indistinguishable from cis men. trans men pass! what the actual fuck.

Im only attracted to trans men because im trans. That post in lgbt you’re referring to was also a trans person who just isn’t attracted to cis people

Fr it’s fetishizing and as a trans man I would never date any cis person who says this

If the attraction is based solely on appearance, I get what you mean and how that could feel invalidating to you personally. But tons of people are attracted to others based on attributes other than and irregardless of appearance. CIS men give me the ick. I personally understand how someone could feel less in fear for their personal safety exclusively dating women and Trans men.

there have been *multiple* posts on that page in the last week about this, plus it’s something i see on other platforms too.

op hadn’t stated they were exclusively t4t, so a lesbian saying “yeah i’m also attracted to trans men” is always going to come off wrong. anyway, this is about a more general trend. there have been multiple posts singling out attraction to trans men while stating they’re not interested in cis men. i don’t understand why it’s hard to get that that’s going to be invalidating and often fetishizing.

They did say in the comments that they don’t think they could ever date cis people at all, but if this is about the more general trend, then I agree completely

that comment was after i made this post. last week on there someone asked about being attracted to “trans men and women” (post now deleted). i’ve seen it on other platforms too. so yeah, it’s definitely becoming a trendy thing to say.
