I’m looking to change my wardrobe to slowly start socially showing my feminine side before I transition. What are some of the best clothes to accentuate a feminine figure? I’m growing out my hair and got my ears pierced so far

This is going to depend a lot on what your current figure is i think

re: thrifting - imo thrifting is good at the start when you dont really know your sizing, but once you have a decent idea of your style and how clothes need to fit you, its more efficient to find a few brands that consistently fit like that (bc its more than likely that 99% of whats in a thrift store will fit like 🗑️). for me that was h&m, hollister, etc.

Ok so I'm just about the same and I have a few recommendations. first off is high waisted pants that as they tend to accentuate your hips. secondarily, any women's shirt is good since they are cut differently than men's shirts and help accentuate an hourglass figure. Also don't be afraid to wear heels even if you think you're too tall for them, heels are so fun and they add a nice flair.

for pants I really like hot topic but i'm also a bit emo, however they do have some pants that are fun designs and not necessarily alt/emo if that's not your style. for tops I tend to just get things thrifting, try them on and see what I like. thrifting is great for transitioning cause it's cheap and thrift stores tend to have a lot of styles in one place so it's good for helping to find a style you like if you don't know where to start. if you have any questions feel free to dm me 😁

as for thrifting I do understand that it can be scary especially before you've really started transitioning, but shopping online doesn't give you as good of an idea on how clothing will fit you

also, be prepared for the fact that since male puberty messed with your bone structure (and pre-estrogen fat distribution), womens clothes with fit you weird (but still better than mens clothes)

I’m a trans guy and thrifting really helped me! If ur scared of outing urself at the thrift store bring a cis female friend along— that’s how I copped my wardrobe, lol
