Lie and pretend you have breast cancer (this is a joke, that is a very bad idea)

👀 ok but I’ve had multiple family members with various types of cancer including breast so like what if I get tested for the gene and then do like preventative? Idk I just don’t want everyone to know that I’m getting my tits lopped off

Idk, full double mastectomy seems to usually be last resort since most cis women don’t want to get rid of their boobs unless they really really have to, which, in my mind, eliminates it as simple preventative. Cancer is simply too big of a lie that, unless you are a MASTER of deceit, it’s not a good idea I don’t think

Any ideas? I’ve tried selling baked goods but I live in a small town and there’s tons of competition and it’s hard to find time outside of work and classes. I’m not very good at art :(

yes you can get a preventative double mastectomy if you’re BRCA or HER positive and it’s becoming more common. definitely check if your insurance covers genetic screening.

do you have any skills that can be done online? like coding or graphic design or even personal training?

No 😭 I have lots of customer service experience so I’ve been trying to find a remote job for that but I have had no luck but other than that like… I got nothing. I’m in school for animal biology

kind of a long term commitment but knitting is pretty lucrative if you can find people to sell to, handmade clothing items can run for a fair amount and once you learn it's something that can be done to pass time. ik this isn't totally feasible for everyone but i thought i'd put the idea out! knitting isn't as hard as it seems i think, tho it's still a skill developed over time

do furry art. furries pay EXTREMELY well and you don't even have to do fetish stuff. even cute things like a 5-10 min caricature drawing of their fursona can have a p decent markup

OP said they're not great at art so I wouldn't recc that. I do some freelance work and it doesn't pay well when you haven't been doing it for long, so l'd suggest just getting a side job that isn't super demanding so you can listen to audiobooks or even just sit there and do whatever. if you're thinking long-term (like more than a year) then 100% get a small cert that qualifies you for a better-paying or more lax job. I'm a biomedical engineer with a cert that lets me work at a pharmacy
