according to my voice app my voice has gone from 165Hz to ~125Hz in a month but my friend says she doesnt hear a difference

If it’s that app with the circles, I don’t think it works very well. I was getting consistently in the “male” range but still sounded like a woman. It only focuses on pitch which apparently isn’t all that useful for voice training

yea ive heard its unreliable but i feel going from consistent 165 to 125 has to have some difference 🥲 i can feel the vibrations in my chest

pitch is just the fundamental frequency of your voice. the actual “sound” of your voice is shaped by literally every other frequency present. think how a guitar can play the same note as a piano, but sound entirely different. that’s because their harmonics are completely different. good voice training doesn’t focus primarily on pitch, but instead should focus on your resonance (aka controlling the presence of those other frequencies) and other ways of masking or exaggerating your voice harmonics

yea i know its not the only aspect but when listening to recordings i feel theres a good difference. i dont have any other voice analysis thing available so i just go by what i have
