he ignored every study i provided and kept saying that his study proved gender affirming care caused suicides because the rate of suicide for those who underwent gender affirming care was higher than the general population (aka cis people). he also started saying since he was a biology major he knows more than me even though he couldn’t even read his own study properly

Well clearly because most of those studies analyze people experiencing gender dysphoria not people who had gender affirming care so it’s largely spiked by cases of repping

Exactly; i specifically asked for comparisons within the transgender community of pre vs post care and he kept insisting his study met that requirement after conceding earlier that general population included cis people. It was crazy he was so confidant coming in and initiating the debate and now he won’t respond

tell him to go on a crusade against antidepressants since people on antidepressants have a higher risk of suicide than the general population
