Why is it 98% of trans people I meet are socialist at least but it’s never the trans DSA endorsed candidates that get into office 😭

I think it’s just cause having one of those things is a black mark on their reputation for some people and having two makes both groups combine and makes it waaaay harder to get past the threshold.

But like truly I just assume that any trans person I meet is a socialist cause like it’s true the vast majority of the time and even when it’s not it’s just cause they’re disengaged with politics generally so they give me an indecisive answer

Also I’m finally actually reading the DSA’s platform and this shit would be so fucking good. Honestly I’m still left of even them but it’s miles closer than the democrats as a whole and certainly the republicans. God I hope they keep winning seats cause once they have enough to not just prevent things but be proactive. It’s gonna get a lot better. I just wanna wake up every morning having every second of my day being owned by myself rather than being forced to make money or worry about costs.
