This might be a hot take but misandry is also often a stepping stone to transphobia because many misandrists fall into saying bioessentialist things about men, but once you’re not cis a lot of those strays will hit you too.

Misogyny is too, but I’ve seen too many cis women start shit talking trans men for identifying as men because they “chose” to be men, too many trans women being misgendered or attacked for being “socialized as men” and altogether it feels like people are just kinda avoiding acknowledging nonbinary identities too. They just keep falling into TERF rhetoric because they want to put one demographic down, but fail to properly differentiate identities and protect all trans people.

Also encourages ignoring men of color, disabled men, etc, and their issues with oppression!

And it feels like even a misandrist is protecting trans women, they’re still falling short on acknowledging trans men and nonbinary people as people that need to be included in feminist spaces because at the end of the day, unless you’re a cis man you are affected by misogyny. It also just sucks how many people seem to think feminism and misandry are the same thing when one just straight up harms the movement.

Hi there, quick correction. Trans women being attacked for being "socialized as male" is transmisogyny, not misandry. Trans women are attacked for being trans women, not for being men, because they do not operate in society as men
