talk through what effects will be reversible (potential mood changes, libido) vs permanent (any voice lowering, bottom growth) and decide if you're okay with that. some of them can be relatively managed, like preventing balding with finasteride, but that is another consideration to layer on.

i do want the lower voice and the facial/body hair. as for the bottom growth, i hadn’t really thought much of it but i don’t think i’d mind that. basically, i want both male and female features. my only worry is that once i go off T, some of the effects will reverse cause my body will be producing regular estrogen y’know?

it sounds like you don't want to go off t then?

no i do! i don’t want to appear completely as a man, i just don’t want what effects i get from the T to somehow reverse if i go off it

unfortunately, some will, but others won't! stuff like body fat redistribution leans pretty heavily on what dominant hormone system you're running on.you'll want to find a prescriber really well versed in HRT (planned parenthood in the US for me has been great, but generally calling and asking the front desk of wherever you want to go if any of their providers have experience in gender affirming HRT is a good first step)to talk through the effects with you.do you have certain ones you're set on?

also heavy on consulting reddit (which is not accurate 100% but has a good reach for many ppl on low dose t). i'm only familiar with r/ftm, but i have to imagine there are plenty of ppl across many subreddits that talk abt their experiences and what effects they've had/continue to have!

i’ve thought abt consulting reddit. i’ll have to do that later when i have time. I do live in the US (NY actually) and i think there is a planned parenthood nearby, i’m just not sure where. thanks! i wouldn’t have though to consult planned parenthood
