passing privilege is so real bc tell me why now that i pass well for someone whose pre-t people respect my gender and are never "shocked" to hear me refer to myself masculinely but not my more androgynous he/him friend.... like it gen pmo

As a transfem the treatment I got when I came out versus now that I’m passable is ridiculous and def pisses me off with how a lot of our trans siblings are treated

FR bc tell me why i was w my more androgynous friend in a group and everyone around treated me like i was cis (which is a whole problem of itself) and they treated him like he was a girl or nonbinary?? its crazy how less "passing" transfems/mascs get misgendered with they/them... fuckin ridiculous...

It especially grates on me cause it’s not like the ppl who assume I’m cis it’s ppl who are well aware that I’m trans and my friends are trans but treat them diff and misgender cause they don’t pass.

YES like back in highschool i had ppl talk to me abt my transfem friend who was early in her transition like she was some creep or that she was faking and im like ???? bc why do they think trans ppl are only valid after years of transitioning its SO annoying
