Anyone have tips on getting started for gender affirming surgery? Ive been on Testosterone for almost 8 months and have identified as Trans since i was 13 (im 19 now). I’ve never had surgery and I just dont even know where to get started .

Trans bucket has a list of surgeons; also searching up cosmetic surgeons in your area and vetting them on Reddit. Depending on your insurance, you might have to ask your IRL doctor for a referral. Heads up because most doctors ask for 1-2 letters diagnosing gender dysphoria from mental health professionals. I’ve gotten on from Folx before. Pretty stupid to have to get proof for a health condition when it’s already in your medical records 🙄. Get that bread brother

i’ve never heard of that, do you still talk to a provider of some kind? if not you can still research surgeons near you just make sure they have a good reputation

Look for local clinics and offices accepting new patients, or your insurances network (if you have one).
