i didn't want to get a long lasting option like the injection, IUDs, or implant, so i tried a few diff pills (combined and progesterone online) to stop my period (love finasteride but this side effect is ehhhh) and eventually settled on nuvaring to also treat vaginal atrophy. i loved it, so easy, but when my atrophy got worse anyway i had to get on vaginal estrogen and so i'm on a diff prog only pill now which let's hope this one works

my periods can get so bad they physically disable me, and i have severe mental health problems (thankfully managed rn). didn't want to risk something like getting an iud and it not stopping my periods so then i have to get it taken out, or getting depo and it making me suicidal and i just have to deal with that until it wears off. pills and rings i can easily stop, so they were my best option.

Thats fair. I need an iud cuz im too mentally ill to consistently take things that dont impact me that day

it's what i loved abt my birth control ring! set it and forget it, they call it. once a month replacement, and i have a week of wiggle room, and i just set a reminder in my phone and do it while i was already going to use the bathroom? don't mind if i do. i've had to get more regimented in my day to keep up with pills now.
