How do y’all feel about trans or queer folks who go into law enforcement to treat our communities better? Is it different if it’s local or federal? Genuinely curious
Literally the only way for it to get better for us is for them to do that exact thing and be so good at their job it inspires the people around them to be less evil
Downside is the system exists to try to make them as evil as possible so it’s hard as hell

whole system is flawed individuals dont make a difference

there’s no camaraderie or friendly interactions to be had with anyone working in law enforcement. those aren’t “my community”, full stop, regardless of their gender identity or sexuality

I thought a lot about going into law enforcement when I was younger and just starting college but decided for my safety and security that doing somthing like social work would be more beneficial to others and my community and still keep me safe.

I rather existing institutions be filled with people who are antagonistic towards them than not.

^^^^This. There’s no good cops. The only way to be a good cop is to quit.
