it is really easier. i'm not even rich (family is lower middle class? i think? we can't afford for any of us to get cancer) and just the fact that i have health insurance and have grown up in the healthcare system so i understand how to navigate it a bit better made getting hormones and surgery (i had to fight for that, hard) way more accessible. i'm fearful of anything that'll jeopardize my economic position not only for the homelessness but especially bc it means i'll need to give up my meds

i definitely see how that can be frustrating, but not for everyone, i started hrt a little less than 8 months ago when i was 20 and this is me now
