I hate to vent but fuck me this really ruined my mood. It feels like I can’t even be accepted in my own community and I don’t know why I even bother. Sometimes I feel like i should just avoid events altogether

im sorry that youre going through this, some people truly dont understand what "non-binary means". it just means not identifying with the binary of "be a man forever" or "be a woman forever". this is why i hate agab terminology. not only does it set an expectation for nonbinary people, its the exact same binary we all just escaped from, with an old dingy bow slapped on it. "but you *were* assigned that gender at birth" "you were born that way i should be able to call you that" sound familiar?
