Do people genuinely not hear and read they/them pronouns or are they stupid? The number of times I refer to my gf (or myself) with they/them pronouns in speech or writing and then people use she/her is ASTOUNDING. And it’s other queer people too.

that is def annoying but if we are being fair, everyone basically gets programmed to look at somebody and subconsciously decide what pronoun to use. its not hard to use ppls preferred pronouns, but it is hard to move from unconscious to conscious. idk

There comes a point where it’s intentional or weaponised incompetence. Either call it out, or spare your energy and self-preservation and drop those you can. You are both valid, and you deserve that respect.!

People don’t really process they/them bc theres some ppl who use it on literally everyone. You do unfortunately gotta spell it out
