I just don’t know if I can be trans anymore. Everywhere I go I feel unsafe. I’m constantly getting mean looks and am looked at like I’m disgusting literally every place I go to. I don’t wanna feel like this villain all the time.

What do you mean “be trans” you are always trans. If you “detransition” you don’t stop having dysphoria. If you mean stop being openly trans though I understand why.

Just try to get to a blue state if you can and save up money now and research visas so if G-d forbid things get worse you can be ready to move.

I came from Texas (which was horrible) and now I’m in California and it’s still bad

There are more people who are overwhelmingly supportive but I’ve experienced even more mean looks here than Texas which I was not expecting

That’s a big reason why I feel disappointed because I would feel safe here but I still don’t

Sorry to break it to you but there is no golden country to be trans in and you can never escape mean looks if you do not pass (especially if you’re a trans woman who does not pass). Maybe in some super progressive country like Uruguay or city like Madrid you could but there’s not a magical place you will escape everything bad in.
