How do you get through the surgery hoops? My current doctor says I need proof of having my identity for 12 months, but I don’t know how to prove that so I’d have to make it official to them now, then wait 12 months to even have my first potential meeting

Pictures. Mail, social media accounts with your preferred name. Pictures of you at pride parades with a trans flag.

I think if you have a gender dysphoria diagnosis (which you should have if you're in hrt) that counts

If anyone has any advice to get through all this, please share with me. I can’t wait any longer, I’m at my breaking point and I feel like I can’t keep living like this

Why do they make it so difficult. I’ve identified as trans for years, I’ve wanted this surgery for years. They need so many stupid things from me that will slow down the process even more. It will be a year to meet just for them to tell me I need to wait even longer
