calling a real person an egg to their face is quite literally assuming you know more about them than they do, which (regardless of if they’re right) comes off as gross and presumptive. you call your past self an egg, not actual people in the present

basically someone who hasn’t realized they’re trans yet. which is why it’s rude to call someone else an egg since you’re assuming they’re something they might not be. it’s a term mostly used in egg culture (which a lot of people understandably don’t like), but some use it to say stuff abt their own experience, like “when I was an egg I’d say ___”
