I hate being a lesbian swiftie so much, like I hate knowing a good chunk of the fandom loves being homophobic and honestly the homophobia perpetrated by this fandom kept me from coming out for a long time

I honestly feel like it's not even a “good chunk.” I think they're just so effing loud about it. They say gay people are pushing it on them, but they're the ones being pushy, yk?

It is such an isolating experience. I think most swifties don’t even realize how homophobic the fandom is

I don’t agree with gaylors however I don’t think that it excuses the homophobic things people say to them. I feel like a lot of the time swifties will use gaylors as an excuse to be super homophobic. I also feel like the fandom not having a distinct definition of gaylor causes this problem. Bc I have been called a gaylor for viewing Taylors music through my own life experiences (apparently relating her songs to my life is over sexualizing her)

Those people definitely exist, I'm not saying that, but I'm saying I feel like it's not the majority. Not arguing though. It hasn't been directed toward me, and I'm not on that side of things, so I may not see it.

I don’t think yall realize how many swifties it really is. At the eras tour I made a rainbow friendship bracelets that had the letters to spell out shade never made anybody less gay. And I had more than one fan irl tell me that it was disgusting that I was forcing my sexuality on Taylor and that Taylor doesn’t want dirty f@gs at her shows and that I’m a predator

Like you don’t understand what it is like when everyone was calling the eras tour the most accepting and safe place for women, when that space wasn’t safe for you. Did anyone say anything to the fan who called me a f@g, nope, in fact I saw people trade bracelets with her right after it happened

I literally just said I may not see it all because I'm not on that side of the internet and don't go to events and stuff
