ik exactly what you mean there are more and more of like fake fans who are just mean but please keep in mind we are not all like this and it's really sad that we have those kinds of mean people in our fandom also because taylor is not like that at all and it used to be kinda different...
what's also really disturbing is that is see more and more comments from swifties who are full on supporting trump and also being a taylor fan despite that taylor said she's really against trump and that's also something i haven't seen in the past, like maybe i just didn't see it but it's now kinda standing out more...
I know, but it is enough and so often the behavior is not called out, most of the time the nasty comments have thousands of likes. Like I remember the girl in the hijab who made the I can do it with a broken heart music video and how many swifties were saying things like that terrorist doesn’t deserve to go to the eras tour and people who called it out were told that they were supporting the Vienna terrorist attacks
omg yes literally what i was thinking and i don't mean by that that joe was better for taylor like not at all, i'm so glad that she's happy but it's like so confusing in what happend to the fandom like what is going on? i don't know if people changed there mind or if it's new weird fans but its like really not okay and i also totally get what you mean with the homophobia it's really worrying, disgusting and just sad that people think that way
I think it is personally bc of the person that Travis is and how he speaks about women and gay people and the racism that comes into it when you look at things like his blaccent despite his brother not having one (I have seen people say it’s bc of where he grew up and I live not far from Cleveland heights and like the only white people from this area that talk like that are the ones who are racist and do it for a bit). But I think the way Travis speaks has shown the fandom that it is acceptable
Oh I agree as well! This fandom used to be a safer place for me as a lesbian and my non-white friends also used to feel safe in swiftie spaces but we were talking last night about how we feel that the fandom has become so white heterosexual centric that anything that falls outside of the white heterosexual life is considered bad
