I just don’t think he’s a very good singer or performer, going back to his 1D days. He’s not that cute, his voice is terrible, he has horrible fashion taste and his music sounds very derivative from other people who do it well. I know Taylor got a lot of plagiarism allegations with showgirl but he’s been doing it his entire career and people just eat it up. Maybe it’s misogyny that he gets away with being mediocre or maybe im not just seeing what he has.

Also, I don’t think showgirl is a bad album overall, but it’s 12/12 for Taylor albums for me, and all the reviews it got were horrible. I dont understand why this album, which is worse than showgirl, has better (or at least more nicely worded) reviews than showgirl. I genuinely don’t understand how he has the biggest solo career out of 1D. Everyone loves to shit on Benson Boone for reheating Freddy Mercury’s nachos but Harry was been doing that (poorly) for years and everyone loves him.
