It also makes me think of The Alabtross based the poem where the captain wears the albatross around his neck for the rest of the crew to mock him

it feels a lot more like a taylor lyric in this album she stopped trying to seem cool. these lyrics are her. they are not shallow if you are prepared to avoid interpreting them as such

I like the lyric, I just don’t like the delivery of it. She’s been singing for almost 20 years and i know she’s not an amazing vocalist but i thought it would sound better
