I’m sensing a TTPD meets showgirl vibe, darker themes but a bit more upbeat

Everyone just expected showgirl to be another TTPD and were disappointed when it wasn’t. Definitely not her best album, but if you listen to it purely for the joy/happiness/upbeatness it’s great

Same! I’d imagine she focused more on the lyricism in the songs as well
