The tide was turning against the alliance, but especially against Coach. Without the twist, Chrissy would not have gone home. And let’s say Chrissy was paired with Joe, and Steph was paired with Coach. Coach and Steph almost certainly would’ve been voted out, not Chrissy. It was more of a matter that they were the only honesty and integrity duo available, plus she was paired with the pariah
