either the show is not showing rizzo’s relationships on the show (esp with sage), or there is some major producer fuckery going on for why he has been able to hold onto his idol for this long

It’s bc the others are playing scared but I’d agree. I think the producers are focusing too hard on making sure we don’t know ahead of tribal who is likely to go, but we are missing some really key scenes and it’s pmo. Like supposedly, sophi and Sophie dug through Kristina’s bag and found her idol (they weren’t sure it was real since it looked different than rizzos) but that was a hugeeeee moment they just never showed us

But since we havent seen literally anything i think rizzo figured out these people are more scared to go home than to try and flush his idol so he continuously brings it up to instill that fear in them every tribal and its been working. I think hes just really good at reading people and hes used thay to his advantage

that is a good point and i do agree rizzo is likely a lot better at reading ppl than what we’re seeing, but there are still things that are making me pause. like how did rizzo get away with saying his idol expires at 6? that has simply never been the case and they could have so easily asked him to show the note

it also seems like from some of things said by contestants post-show (thinking mostly of sophi’s twitter posts for y she tried to steal stevens block instead of rizzos idol), that rizzo may not have been viewed as a strong jury threat, which if true is a huge thing we’re not seeing. i think im just getting pissed off at this season cuz the cast is great and it had potential to be one of the stronger new era seasons, but i feel like there is so much that the show is hiding or that were missing

I 1000% agree with you. I was wondering the same thing about rizzos idol. Like I coulda sworn he showed sophi the note when he first told her about it (I’m probs wrong) and so I was waiting for her to click that and no one did. I’ve seen a few videos of survivors being like “so there was a scene they didn’t show” and it’s all in context to the decisions they made and I’m just like why tf aren’t we seeing this! With 90 min episodes now, there should be no issue with including these key scenes

so steven basically confirmed in his interviews that nobody really viewed rizzo as a jury threat, and sophi said it was actually her idea to lie about the idol expiring at 6 (her and sav knew). this could all just be revisionist history, but my guess is that the producers are hiding this so going into 50 we kinda view him as somebody who got robbed at the cost of us actually knowing why people aren’t going after him. i could see sav placing anywhere atp, but im covinced rizzo is a losing finalis
