survivor has also always had a shit ton endurance-based immunities post-merge, esp new era. nobody ever complained about them being set up for someone specific to win before. also has anybody ever said they designed challenges for jonathan to win? (not claiming they were, just agreeing with u on double-standard

The larger problem at hand is that Survivor continues to cast a bunch of weaklings. Any person with a baseline, natural athleticism is going to dominate the challenges in the new era because they quit casting the Malcolm/Tyson/Joe archetype

Like no one would ever say that a challenge is rigged to favor a certain player because it requires you to be freakishly strong or requires arm or core strength. No one ever says this when men go on immunity runs because most challenges require lots of athleticism. But as soon as it requires leg strength (which women dominate) it’s a problem. It’s giving misogyny

EXACTLY!! And like no one would claim that they set up swimming challenges for Ozzy. No one would claim that challenges that focus on a puzzle were meant for guys like Carson or Boston Rob to win. No one claimed that challenges revolving around pure strength (like holding that stick with weights on both ends) were designed specifically with Rupert in mind. But when it’s a challenge that focuses on a woman’s strengths, everyone asks like it’s interference by production.
