Also it wouldn’t have any effect on the votes if Devens found it after the votes were cast, so he had to come up with some convincing lie

Yep! And (i wonder if he’ll do this) but Aubrey just played her idol and theoretically he could say since the idol didn’t boomerang back, I got a clue to a new one. And Genevieve is out so it can’t happen w ozzy or rizo now. So many reasons why this worked out so well
