if jonathan would simply own the fact he’s a villain he’d be so much more likeable but he just comes across as a hypocritical asshole
While I think Jonathan has been seen as a villain this sets it in place. He voted Steph even while working with her, lying to her that her name was thrown out, and then taking the fall for her.

This. I love a good villain but they have to own it. None of this saying you’re playing with integrity and power when you are in the middle of stabbing someone you are allied with in the back

fully agree. at least with coach he’s so ridiculous that he just becomes a character, even when says he’s honest and loyal. jonathan doesn’t really play into a character or any kind of villainy which just makes him unlikeable even when he’s playing a strong game
