ranting into the void but: if i had a downward undergrad trend do you think the best idea would be for me to do a formal postbacc or take some classes at cc? i have straight A’s in upper div classes but did poorly in my lower divs and also graduated erly

Unforch my immediate sense is that might be a little low, combined with the downward trend. Do you have research experience ? But I don’t think you need a formal postbacc. I’d maybe just consider retaking MCB courses you did poorly in

Sorry, i mean microbiology courses. Mcb is molecular and cellular 😔

I have limited research experience unfortunately, like only around 100 hours. I had to work 35+ hours each week as a vet tech tho in order to sustain myself and pay for tuition which definitely effected my academics.

I mean work experience is always appreciated on applications and it definitely gives context to the 3.2. Also 100 hours isn’t bad, a semester or two. Bio isn’t my field so im not totally qualified to speak on admissions but based on what ik about masters admissions in general, I think you will be ok if you bring the 3.2 up even just a little. But it also depends on where you’re applying ofc
