Tbh I think it’s dependent upon the person. I sadly will say I was a republican all my years until about midway through college when I was introduced to people with more diversity (from a tiny southern town). Once I was exposed to more views and given the option to express myself i definitely have slowly headed over to the liberal side. I’d put myself middle left leaning now whereas before I was definitely pretty hard core republican
I also grew up republican, along with my whole family, and then my family and I slowly migrated over to the left when we slowly realized how much covert racism and sexism and a general lack of empathy for others was embedded into republicanism. Our extended family is still mostly republican, but then there’s our family, very far to the left lmao
Same. My family used to be pretty republican. Not racist / sexist republican but more so bothered by LGBTQ / go guns/ anti abortion type of rep. We moved to a pretty hardcore rep area and I think they saw how crazy so many of the things being said were by republicans and they’ve definitely moved more middle as well. Not as far as me for my mom, but my sister is a little more liberal than she is.
Yeah I had a drunk argument with a big trump guy and he genuinely couldn’t provide a single example or any information to back up anything he said. He was so blindly confident without knowing why he actually thought that way and I still don’t understand how people get to that point
There were definitely hardcore Hillary supporters but not on the same level as Trump. On the note of Biden everyone could see at a point that he wasn’t fit. Keep in mind I’m talking about everyday people not just people in the government. Notice how Trump supporters kept fighting for him even after he lost to Biden, refusing to acknowledge any other outcome. Democrats support their candidates, Republicans live for Trump (THERES A DIFFERENCE)
No but they do worship the system in the same way. I would know because I used to be a diehard democrat. It's always "the system works, it's just mismanaged." and never "we need to replace our foundation" because if we do that it means we admit fault wasting energy and blowing hatred to uphold something destined to fail. Nobody hates their "opposition" like partisan people, even though we are all human.
i don’t even think communism is possible outside of small communities and villages. nations are highly organizational and it’s impossible to keep one stable and running with no government. and the opposite, total government control, is bound to be abused due to the nature of people who seek a lot of power
It’s funny because people base things off of THEIR perception and experiences so thanks for telling us you do have a sense of worship towards the leaders you vote for, I don’t, I voted trump and I’m happy with it, we all say stupid things sometimes and so what y’all act like someone has to be perfect to be a president :/
