They could have food on the table for their families if other countries weren’t constantly intervening and stealing their countries natural resources to inhibit their ability to grow wealth

I get there was Western sanctions, but Maduro was already driving the Venezuelan economy into the shitter, if anything the sanctions helped to speed up the collapse. Forget the fact that he voided two (2) elections that were landslides in favor of the opposition

Ignore that we have not been in contact the opposition leader and are not assisting in any way with putting her into power, we are just making this an Afghanistan 2.0. We are going to control their government for the foreseeable future, force them into forever war, then abandon them and crash their economy allowing the very people we attacked take back over their government

Also ignore we *could* have turned Maduro over to the ICC to face international charges. But no, we took him to New York to face American charges, which President trump excused the Honduras president for last month, releasing him from his 45 year prison sentence in West Virginia.

Dude this shit happened like 6(?) hours ago, obviously they haven’t contacted her yet. Along with that, the Minister of Defense has assumed control of the country since Maduro’s gone. Give it time, is what I’d say

You’d think if it was “for the Venezuelan people” they would have contacted her before they bombed the country and collapsed their government? Yaknow…have a plan to put her into power and allow for a smooth transition that actually benefited the country?

Again, give it time. It is possible that he’ll be turned over to the ICC after being convicted in the US

No, he’ll hold him in a US prison for another president to pardon and release. Bc it’s not about helping people. It’s about sowing instability in the global south to steal their resources

Collapse of government indicates total lawlessness. There is no such situation, all that’s happened is a blackbagged President, the Minister of Defense is the de facto leader as of now

Oh…no….thats not…oh dear. Governmental collapse does NOT equal lawlessness 😭 that would be anarchy, which can come from a lack of government, but is not the only outcome

Ok this argument is getting infuriating. I’m trying to provide a reason to be supportive of this move and all I’m hearing back is fearmongering for another forever war. This is still a recent event. Give it time, please

How do I know what collapsed governments look like? Because we know what they look like by studying history and geo-politics? It’s not fear mongering, it’s reminding the American people our government does not have our best interests in mind and would rather bomb a random country than give our children free lunch or our join the other 95% of the world in giving us paid maternity leave (this isn’t hyperbolic 95% of the world’s countries has paid maternity leave and we don’t)

OP I gotta be honest this guy absolutely mogged you autistic political rambling style. “Give it time” is not something we need to do when the US has performed this exact stunt several times
