These things being available also contributes to a stable population (birth vs death rate). What woman would want a child when there is the risk that it could just die in the womb; and then she would be unable to abort it, and thus die of completely avoidable sepsis.

Babies and toddlers are already born and “fully” developed. They have feelings and emotions and will have other things later on. A fetus within the first trimester (when abortions happen) does not have feelings, emotions, pain receptors, a life, a career, aspirations. The woman carrying the fetus already has these things.
