We’ve got a trillion dollars tied up in a mostly useless program that’s driving up water, electricity, and RAM prices, and its main effect so far has been to sow distrust, spread disinformation, reduce people’s reasoning and social abilities, drive people to psychosis, and be used to more efficiently commit war crimes. So yeah, I think it’s as bad as people make it seem.
