I did after the “ban” in January, it genuinely feels so freeing. Shit is trending and I don’t care. I used that time to discover myself versus follow the crowd. I’d recommend it to literally everyone and anyone.

I deleted it when it was banned the first time for like a day and haven’t gone back since.

I deleted TikTok like a year ago, and it was awesome until I moved to doomscrolling on other apps. I now have an app that limits my screen time. I get each social media app for 7 minutes at a time, 5 times a day per app. It’s miserable sometimes, but it has saved me SO MUCH TIME

if you want. i must have totally different fyp pages than you guys. just fan edits, cute fashion girlies, people spreading awareness, gym girls and stuff on mine. i’m not on there all day and use it kind of like a video google. but if it’s what you gotta do then 🤷🏾‍♀️

Have you done it? The literal only thing that holds me back is how rapidly Everyone is completely relying on this kind of media for connection and information. I guess fomo but in an it's like I'd have a landline and everyone would have the iPhone 17.

Never redownloaded. Actual brain rot that I can’t seem to get rid of again but now we’re talking about it maybe I will.

We can do this. It's kind of even hard for me to say it's useless and I feel some FOMO at the thought of getting rid of it. Even though (logistics and ethics aside) I know it's not beneficial to me.

Have you tried using it on a computer browser? Way less addictive than the app imo

Well, it's not really that I'm addicted or anything. My tik tok and overall phone usage is actually less than my peers. It's just that things are rapidly declining politically and ethically with people using AI and other media like TikTok as their sole source of community and information. I guess I'm considering it as a way to "get off the train" while I still can under the guise of a 'New years resolution',

not to sound rude but just don’t use it as UR sole source of community and information then there’s many news and community apps that have come out

I forgot to mention, I also watch YouTube videos to catch me up on TikTok trends and news. I like Salem Tovar’s channel

The fact you can relapse from an app proves social media is an addiction tbh

Trust mee, not only do people on there have a whole community going on where if you don’t agree you’re literally crucified, but it’s not reality & the fact it’s addicting proves it isn’t beneficial fr! 😭
