Tbh it is pretty fascinating. You could see how memes get hyped up and then brought down. I’m sure there were memes back then like inside jokes between cultures. Hell, hieroglyphics could have some memes 😂

Could also see the impact of a meme to certain things like if it’s a popular thing enough, it becomes canon. I feel like that might fall under the sociology umbrella
