liability insurance during that time and i cant prove it was totaled and given up because i dont have the registration anymore. what can i do? any law students/lawyers/anyone who can help me here?

im so lost and confused and i need to drive for my job. i dont want to be punished because i made a mistake and then had my car stolen also. its all so fucked.
