As a man I agree ofc, but on an even deeper level I think we should know each others communication ie actually knowing the person your dealing with. I think guys a lot of time apply what was fine in one situation to another when people aren’t the same. Moral of the story, SA is BAD and you should also know the person well enough you want to have sex with and their languages of communication.

I got raped when I was extremely high because this guy I went on a few dates with brought over some edibles and I just took what he told me to. I was so high I couldn’t really speak in sentences, walk, I could barely form a thought. But he still had sex with me much of which I don’t remember. When I realized what was happening I went silent just zoned out and stared at the ceiling. He noticed and stopped. It took me a few days to realize that was rape and it’s really affected me.

Just say no. Both people should act like adults. No need to play games. If you don’t want to have sex, say no. It’s genuinely not that hard.

Yeah no, legally you’re wrong. Look up SA laws. Anything other than a yes is a no, period. Silence and hesitation are NO, hesitation means you’re unsure and you shouldn’t have sex because they’re unsure. Why would you want to sleep with someone who’s unsure if they want to have sex with you? That’s just weird and predatory behavior bc obviously you don’t care if they actually want to or not. Do better, take a course on consent and please never reproduce

The problem is men like you who justify SA. Implied consent is when body language tells you they’re consenting. If someone is being silent and avoiding eye contact they don’t want to have sex. If someone says maybe, it means they might want to later but not right now

Your psychoanalysis tells me you think you’re better than the average person and that you’re very narcissistic. I never said it wa sa blanket statement or that anything but an enthusiastic yes is a felony, you made that up. This is the type of shit my friend who was on fentanyl was saying to make himself feel morally superior. Whatever your insecurity is, I hope you find healing soon and try to be more humble in the future instead of doubling down when you’re wrong. Wish you the best.

The fact he would knowingly have sex with me that intoxicated is disgusting, I was in no state to consent to anything. This has ruined casual sex for me and permanently altered my view of sex. Sex itself means nothing to me but the way I’ve realized men will just use you for sex is disheartening. I used to have sex after a date or two just because why now but now I just feel completely used for sex by these men.

I haven’t reported it even though I have texts that pretty much confirm it, because he knows where I live, that I live alone and I’m concerned for my safety. Yes, you can think about it and say yes. Not having an answer right away isn’t the same thing as saying no. It can take time to figure out if you’re ready for that. If you think about it and the answer is yes, there’s no reason for your partner to interpret that as a no.
