She was expelled because she assaulted the boys who weren’t even proved to have been the people who did it at the time. What the actual offenders did is awful and shameful, but that doesn’t give someone the right to assault them. I’m not defending them in any way, but the way you portrayed it is a bit misleading
She smacked his head on the bus going home to get his phone after she reported the ai nudes to at least THREE different staff at the school that day. Do you really expect a middle school girl to have enough emotional regulation to NOT get physical with the boys that had been spreading nude photos of her everywhere that no one was doing anything about????
If a boy did it to another boy at that age he was at most get detention, but she got expelled. After teachers failed to protect her. Spreading fake nudes of a child is going to have the same emotional trauma on her as actual photos which would be considered sexual abuse, so yeah I think it’s totally valid for her to hit the boy.
I literally agree with you people. Sorry I’m not willing to misconstrue the situation to make it seem worse than it is. ITS ALREADY HORRIBLE ENOUGH. If it was my daughter, I would hope that she would beat the shit out of the boys who did it, but I wouldn’t expect special treatment from the law
a functioning society wouldn’t bring a girl to need to handle a situation like this herself with physical force. You’re a bootlicker for thinking she needs consequences when her actions itself is the consequence of a broken system. You’re a low iq troglodyte cosplaying as a pseudo intellectual
Society didn’t force her to beat someone up, she is a child who naturally handled the situation like a child. The fact that you reference a “broken system” as one that doesn’t let you act on impulse without any regard for the consequences tells me a lot about you. Getting called names by people like you makes me feel good about myself. You still have yet to pose any sort of any sort of counter to my statements.
The broken system is the inaction of the teachers leading her to wanting that phone herself. You’re such a pretentious idiot it’s honestly hilarious when you do your moral grandstanding bit. Yk I would take some time for self reflection on why you have so many downvotes and negative reactions
They got the police involved as they should have, they have the ability to help more than any teacher could. Accusing me of grandstanding is wild. Getting downvotes on yik yak when advocating for nonviolence and proper emotional regulation doesn’t make me pretentious. Again with the name calling too, is that all you got? But sure, I’m the one who needs self reflection
They still didn’t do enough as teachers and it’s pathetic excusing them. Your deadpan reaction of “well actions have consequences” to this situation is what makes people mad and the fact that you still can’t realize that means you’re pretty damn stupid in your own right. Anyone in that kind of situation would snap and instead of punishing the victim it should be focusing on actually improving things to where it won’t get to that point in the first place
I can’t control if people are too immature to realise actions have consequences. If people are too childish to realise that rule, they probably shouldn’t be trusted with adult responsibility. And I have a strong feeling that every person who is downvoting my comments fall into that category. They aren’t punishing the victim, they’re punishing the girl who assaulted another person. And when they prove who made/spread the photos, they will be punished too
You’re honestly completely misinformed. They didn’t get the police OR her parents involved at all. They did absolutely nothing and they are mandatory reporters and didn’t do their job. She told at least three of the school staff and any one of them could have called the police, her parents, or pulled the boys out of class or even just let her go home early and decide how to handle it in the school but the teachers did NOTHING.
The actions of the boys had zero consequences with the school and she got the maximum punishment for trying to do something herself. If the boys were punished immediately or at least pulled out of class to verify her claims, then you could say “actions have consequences” but what happened here was that only her actions had consequences and for some reason everyone else could do horrible things and nothing would be done.
