These tickets are by no means crazy for even a local show, ngl. Gotta pay the actors. Inflation on everything is crazy rn

Geez it’s nowhere near that bad around me. We have a family run theatre that does $5 Tuesdays, $7 showings every other day before 5. Our local AMC I want to say was $12 per person.

You can still pick your seats if you go in person to buy your tickets and buy them in advance (I go on half of movie day with my fam sometimes. I go buy the ticket otw to work and get the seats next to them. They’ll buy there’s the day before even)

Unless you mean MOVIE theatres lmao, this is crazy for cinema. At first I read your post as being about a live stage show lmao

Just saying if you don’t want to watch a movie on a Tuesday you better fork over 25 dollars

Oh no I completely agree, their prices are bullshit (snack and drink prices are straight scalping). Just adding an alternative for people who happen to enjoy the vibes of the theater

Usually when Americans spell “Theatre” with an -re instead of an -er it means stage shows, not movies, so my first reaction was that 28 bucks a ticket is not ridiculous for a live production lmao

Yeah but that’s clearly the amc app

I don’t use the AMC app lmao of course I wouldn’t recognize it, I pay for my movie tickets in-person lmao

it’s not clearly the amc app to people who don’t use amc 😭 doesn’t say it anywhere in the photo

As someone who is part of the marketing team for a local *theatre* company, you do have to make the correct distinction. #1 has a valid take. Idk why they’re being downvoted
