Does anyone remember the movie Nacho Libre? The older I get the more I realize it was fairly racist😭😭 I’d like to know how a Hispanic person feels about it

As a Hispanic person, this movie is the best movie to exist on planet Earth ever. Racist my foot.

Hispanic person here 🖐️ It’s fucking hilarious. Yes, stereotyping is in that movie, but because it’s less of a plot device (ie; it’s not just ratting on one group of ppl) and more flat-out comedy (sarcasm is my favorite tbh) in how those stereotypes are interacted with, it’s not at all offensive to me.

I think the creator was Hispanic though. He’s the same guy who did the Book of Life movie. But I could be wrong.

As a Hispanic person, I think that the film is funny and great and is an ok movie, I don’t know Mexican culture too well but my family is from Cuba and I think the film is great

Haven’t seen it, but it possibly being racist means it’s probably a great movie. Definitely gonna watch it now
