“Unskilled jobs” are just not ones our parents and their parents and their parents and their parents and their parents have been doing for generations. Why? Because it’s necessary. We take something so important and make it pay nothing. Look at your walls and ask yourself the name of the person who built them. Who picked your tomato. What were their stories? How are they today?

everyone who says stuff about how unskilled jobs should have poverty wages has complained about the slow cashier or the dirty floors or the bad coffee or the bad service at a restaurant or how their package was delivered broken etc, they know for a fact these aren’t unskilled jobs

Some jobs are objectively unskilled or have a marginally lower skill compared to those that require degrees. Doesn’t mean they don’t deserve better wages but being a heart surgeon is 10,00 times more skill in tense then pushing a broom

This is wildly off topic but we’re all human and deserve to live with comfort and dignity. And wages are part of that.
