Literally no trans person I’ve known has gotten genuinely upset when someone mistakes their pronouns. And I’ve had a lot of trans friends. 90% of the time they ignore it, and 10% of the time they kindly correct the person, with no vitriol.

There’s another example of a girl on my robotics team who got really mad at me. Now she didn’t tell anybody, nobody told me, and she didn’t dress differently or anything (again doesn’t have to but it helps) just became hostile when people used wrong pronouns. I haven’t made the mistake since.

i have had trans ppl intentionally misuse my pronouns bc they claimed it was more “inclusive” after i told them i go by she/her i feel like nobody actually gaf except trans people

Basically my cousin came out as trans and nobody told me so I deadnamed them. They got really made but weren’t dressing according to their new gender (they don’t have to) so idk how I was supposed to pick up on it. Later they detransitioned after becoming pregnant (hormones from pregnancy erased gender dysphoria, it isn’t common but it happens)

Now getting mad at people for not responding to Yik yak comments at 1 am is 10x more batshit insane than being mad at somebody for using wrong pronouns (the first time, it’s different if they told you multiple times).
